Who this page is for
Indian students booking or sitting IELTS Academic (or deciding whether they actually need UKVI).
Overview
India now runs computer-delivered IELTS on most weekdays in large cities, with paper dates less frequent. There is no single national timetable PDF worth printing. What matters is lead time to a retake before the university's CAS / I-20 / deposit deadline.
What actually matters
- Book 6–8 weeks before the score must be on the portal, not 6–8 days.
- UKVI slots are a thinner inventory than generic Academic.
- Speaking may be a different day — put both on the calendar.
Peak pressure for Indian applicants
December–March (fall US/Canada), May–July (UK September), and September–October (spring and Australian mid-year) are when centres fill. If you need both an Academic score for offers and a UKVI score for visa, that can be two bookings. See SELT booking.
Verify on the official source
Fees, dates, accepted scores and visa rules change. Confirm the current figure on the official test, university, regulator or government page before you book or pay. StudyWhere is an advisor, not the test owner.
